LEEP Program!

CSP’s Learn and Earn Employment Program (LEEP) is an employment skills training program. LEEP will deliver eight weeks of classroom training and entry-level work experience for out-ofschool youth, between the ages of 16 and 24 years. Our goal is that all youth who successfully complete the program will enter full-time employment, the military or postsecondary/advanced training that leads to an industry recognized credential.

2019 Dixie Boys Baseball Inc. Scholarship!

Outstanding High School Seniors who have participated in a franchised Dixie Boys Baseball, Incorporated program and plan to pursue undergraduate studies at a college or university may apply. Dixie Boys Baseball, Incorporated programs include Dixie Boys Baseball for boys 13 and 14 years old; Dixie Pre-Majors Baseball for boys 15 thru 17 years old; and Dixie Majors Baseball for boys 15 thru 19 years old. Greg Ray Memorial Education Scholarship!

The scholarship is a one-time, $2,000 education scholarship awarded to a deserving public school student whose parent or guardian is an active pupil transportation employee for the past three years. A student qualifies by graduating from a public high school and then attending a postsecondary education institution in 2019-2020. Eligible students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA and are selected based on their leadership, citizenship, and service. The $2,000 scholarship can be used for any part of the student's 2019-2020 school year tuition, books, or fees. See attached memo for more information!

Mike Cox Memorial Education Scholarship

The scholarship is a one-time, $1,000 education scholarship awarded to two (2) deserving public school students whose parent or guardian is an active pupil transportation employee for the past three years. Buster Bynum Education Scholarship!

Named in honor of R. A. “Buster" Bynum, retired Director of the Virginia Department of Education's pupil transportation office and former SESPTC treasurer, this one-time $2,500 education scholarship is made available to one deserving public school student in each of the fourteen-member southeastern states. See attached application for more information!

It’s a Mother-Daughter Thing!

Power UP, Central Six AlabamaWorks!, Wood, Girls Inc. of Central Alabama, AIDT/AWTC, and the Academy of Craft Training present the 4th annual Power UP: It’s a Mother-Daughter Thing! The event will be held on March 12, 2019 from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Alabama Workforce Training Center (AWTC). The first three years have been tremendously successful with over 800 attendees, employer partners and training providers. Our fourth annual event promises to educate, engage and encourage more mothers and daughters to explore career opportunities in the construction industry.
