Matt Geohagan serves dual roles at Bibb County High School as Assistant Principal and Head Football Coach. Known for balancing athletic performance with high academic standards, Geohagan focuses his leadership on service, student growth, and helping young adults reach their full potential.
Coaching & School Leadership

Bibb County High School: Appointed head football coach in 2015, leading the Choctaws to consistent winning seasons, playoff runs, and multi-year postseason appearances. He is one of only three coaches in program history to guide the team to the third round of the state playoffs. Winner of the 2026 AHSAA Making a Difference Award.

Statewide Leadership: Serves as President of the AHSAA District 3 Legislative Council and is an ALFCA District 3 Board Member.

All-Star Selections: Selected to coach in prominent showcase events, including serving as Defensive Coordinator for the winning South All-Star team in 2020, coaching defensive backs in the 2022 All-Star Game, and coaching defensive backs in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.
Background & Early Career

Prior Coaching Experience: Served five seasons as Defensive Coordinator at Demopolis High School. Previously coached defensive backs at Russellville High School, helping lead teams to two state championship game appearances, and began his career coaching the defensive line at Demopolis.

Athletic Background: Played four years at safety for the Tigers at the University of West Alabama.
Personal Life
Coach Geohagan and his wife, Coty—who serves as the media specialist/librarian at Bibb County High School—have two children, Mitt and Saylor.
